How to get there
Public transport :
Use Deutsche Bahn fast trains (EC, IC, ICE) to Würzburg Main Station (Hauptbahnhof). Then take the regional train to Winterhausen.
Sommerhausen is only a ten minute walk from Winterhausen. You can also ask your hotel to pick you up.
An alternative to the regional train is bus line no. 8066 from Würzburg main station to Sommerhausen. Buses leave from platform 10 of the bus terminal close to Würzburg main station.
By car:
- From the west or east:
Take the motorway A3 Frankfurt - Nuremberg, leave at exit 71 Würzburg-Randersacker. Proceed on the B13, towards Ochsenfurt - Ansbach, approx. 4 km.
- From the north:
Take the motorway A7 Fulda – Ulm as far as Biebelrieder Kreuz, there take the A3 towards Frankfurt, leave at exit 71 Würzburg-Randersacker. Proceed on the B13, towards Ochsenfurt - Ansbach, approx. 4 km.
- From the south via Nuremberg:
Take the motorway A9 as far as Kreuz Nürnberg, there take the A3 towards Frankfurt, leave at exit 71 Würzburg-Randersacker. Proceed on the B13, towards Ochsenfurt - Ansbach, approx. 4 km.
- From the south via Ulm:
Take the motorway A7. Leave at exit 105 Gollhofen. Proceed on the B13, towards Ochsenfurt – Sommerhausen.
- From the south via Stuttgart or Heilbronn:
Take the motorway A81 as far as Dreieck Würzburg-West, there take the A3 towards Nuremberg, exit 71 Würzburg-Randersacker. Proceed on the B13, towards Ochsenfurt - Ansbach, approx.4 km.

Attention! Parking is prohibited in Sommerhausen except for the parking spaces of the hotels in the old part of the town. It is only a few minutes’ walk from the car park outside of the town wall to the centre.
